A New Perspective on Life

I enjoyed American Studies 100, I had a great time. I had a different perspective on life after taking this class. Writing a blog for this class inspired me to write a blog of my own about my everyday life. I pay a lot more attention to events I go to after taking this class. I remember my professor saying you need to come out of your comfort zone, eat lunch with people you don’t know. I did what she said, and I am glad I did, because I am still friends with the students I had lunch with.

A Mother's Love

I remember asking my mom why. My mother said, "You will understand why when you are a bit older." I was 6 years old when my mother told me the news. I was devastated when I found out that my mother was leaving me behind to go to U.S.A.  I remember waiting for my mom at the airport I was hoping that it was a joke and that my mother would come back  home sometime soon, but there was no sign of my her. I started to cry when I realized that my mother wasn't coming back. I felt betrayed and abandoned.

My life wasn't that great before my mom left but i was happy. My life got a lot better after my mom left:.She sent money back home, because of it I was able to go to a better school, had a better clothes to wear and had the best food to eat. I wasn't happy even though I had everything I ever wanted, because my mother wasn't with me.

Six years later, I was excited to find out that my mother will bring me to the U.S.A. I was nervous and happy at the same time while waiting for my mom at the airport.  When my mom saw me she came running and gave me a big hug, she held me like I was coming a part. We were both crying while holding each other.

I saw how happy my mother was. She told me that leaving me behind was one of the hardest things she ever had to do. I realized that she sacrificed a lot for my happiness. I Finally realized what my mother meant when she said "You will understand why I had to leave when you get older."

Its hard to understand why people do things without knowing their motives.

Never Give Up

I believe in never giving up; no matter how hard it is.

I learned this at an early age. When I was seven I asked my father to take the training wheels out of my bike, because all my friends ride a two wheeler. That afternoon my dad took me to the park and started to teach me how to ride a two wheeler. After falling so multiple times, I told my dad that I don’t want to ride my bike anymore, because it was too hard. My dad said that if I want to ride a two wheeler like my friends I have to keep trying no matter how hard it is.

I was nerves and excited, the day I have been practicing for was finally here. It is one of the biggest tennis games of the year. I was playing against one of the best teams in the county. My opponent was unstoppable, after Playing for a while I was exhausted and on the verge of giving up. My tennis coach pulled me aside during the break and told me that I have worked too hard to get here, and my hard would be nothing if I give up now. Even though I lost that match I never gave up, I practiced and went to win the match the next year.
Never give up means to keep trying and never stop working to achieve your goals and dreams. To be successful in life you have to make mistakes so you could learn from them. Whenever, I get complicated problems, or difficult matters in study or life, I often keep them in my mind and find ways to resolve them. If I gave up on things whenever they got hard I won’t be able to swim, ride a bike or drive a car.
I believe that if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.

The Pyramids of Giza

When I saw The pyramids of Giza for the first time, their size and age took my breath away. In the summer of 2001, my mother and I went to Cairo, Egypt. I was surprised to learn that the pyramids are about 4,500 years old. Another surprise was that in all the pictures I've seen the pyramids look fairly smooth, but when I saw them close up, I amazed to see that they are constructed of large blocks and are quite rough in appearance. The pyramids of Giza are one of the only wonders of the ancient world still standing.

DELL?

I was a freshman in college when I got my first dell laptop, and I was as happy as one can be.  After using my dell laptop for a year it crashed. After a few weeks on the phone with customer service, they finally helped me repair my laptop. My laptop was working great, 5 month latter the charger broke so I bought a new charger.  3 month after getting my new charger my laptop broke again, but this time they told me I have to get a new one. That’s why I will never buy a dell laptop anymore.

I Phone 5

I was with my friends sitting in this big green room when I heard the news that apple was coming out with a new I phone.  I didn't believe that it could be true, because not even a year has passed since the last I phone came out. The new I phone would make my life a lot easier, because it would run faster and it has more memory. I told myself I had to get the new I phone because it will be the next cool thing to get in popular culture.
